Ministry Plan

Here are the details of the first three Teams.

Our congregation’s new Ministry Plan for the Future is the result of months of work and listening to the concerns and ideas of our members.

On Sunday, June 12th of this year, the Voters Assembly said “yes” to the plan presented. They also expressed concern over moving too fast. In response, the Ministry Planning Team revised the plan and the Board of Directors reviewed and approved the changes below.

Technology & Media Team

Description: The Technology and Media Committee will select a professional provider to purchase, install, and train our people to operate new or upgraded technology required to deliver a high-quality worship experience, live or online.

Responsibilities:

  • Define the requirements
  • Interview and select a provider. Gather at least 3 estimates.
  • Make a recommendation to the Board and follow-through to a selection.
  • Oversee the installation.
  • Oversee training of volunteers
  • Insure that an individual/team, volunteer/paid will persist in serving.
  • Report to the Board; interface with Trustees

Time commitment: Until the tasks are complete, estimated to be 6 months to a year.

Worship Transition Team

Description: The Worship Transition Committee will work with the Board of Elders to make recommendations to the Board of Directors on the time and format of a single Sunday morning service and a new Sunday evening service - to include music, staffing, focus, and more.

Time commitment: Until the task is complete. This is not an on-going team.

What kind of talents will help?

  • Knowledge of Lutheran worship
  • Familiarity with traditional and contemporary worship music
  • Awareness of the scheduling needs of modern families and workers
  • Appreciation of what modern families seek in a church
  • Ability to work in a team, listen well, collaborate, compromise
  • Accept the priority of evangelism

 

Guest Hospitality Team

Description: The Guest Hospitality Committee will create an excellent first impression for guests attending any St. Paul event. This includes responsibility for refreshments, welcome and follow-up with guests, decorations, furnishings, signage, reaching out to new attendees. Report activities to the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Greeters
  • Provide, maintain, and display information materials for guests
  • Oversee event registration, worship service refreshments
  • Decorate, furnish, place signage for all buildings
  • Create and maintain guest follow-up for all services and events
  • Sponsor new member drives through special events

Time commitment: One year, renewable
