Prayer Before Worship Heavenly Father, as I come to worship this day, forgive my sin of slowness to love others as myself, and my fear of sharing Your love. As I confess my sin in worship and receive Your absolution, renew me with stronger love for You and for the people around me. Since Your love, Lord Jesus, was not just in words, but in actions as You went to the cross for me, so may my love for others be shown in actions of love. Amen
In Today’s Worship: We share the news of our need for Jesus’ saving love with our friends, relatives, and neighbors by our words and by our actions. In America today, your actions of love for the hurts and needs of people wins their trust and respect. They then want to hear what you have to say about Jesus, who is the reason why you love others. The disciple John writes in the Bible: “Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth” (1 John 3:18).
