Making Time for God: The Third Commandment
July 14, 2024
Prayer Before Worship
Lord God, grant Your presence as I join my fellow Christians in worshipping you. Bless the preaching of Your Word in all the world today that many people of all races and nations may be brought to repentance and faith in Jesus. Bless my hearing of Your Word today that I may be strengthened in my faith and consecration to serve you. In Jesus name. Amen.
In Today’s Worship
We focus on the Third Commandment. The time we dedicate to growing closer to God through worship and studying His personal letter to us, The Bible, shows how much we value Him. God shows how much he values you by giving you daily food and shelter, listening to your every prayer, and especially, giving His Son, Jesus, to win you back to be His forever.
THE THIRD COMMANDMENT
Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.
What does this mean?
We should fear and love God so that we do not despise preaching and His Word, but hold it sacred and gladly hear and learn it.
