Prayer Before Worship
O Almighty God, who pours out on all who desire it the spirit of grace and of supplication: Deliver us, when we draw near to You, from coldness of heart and wanderings of mind, that with thoughts focused on You and hearts filled with love for You we may worship You in spirit and in truth; through Jesus Christ our
Lord. Amen.
You were Created to Become like Christ. We are all works in progress. The goal of the Christian life is growing into greater maturity until we have the mind and heart of Christ. This is not up to us to accomplish by our own choosing or effort. Instead, we know God the Holy Spirit works in us. It’s not so much imitation as inhabitation. We pray that God invades and occupies our lives. Invite God to do that today.
