IN TODAY’S WORSHIP   God in not impressed by what you do for Him.  Instead, God is pleased by the motivation– the love– behind what you do for Him.  A life lived with others as focus – not self as the focus – is the most fulfilling and the best way to express your love to God for His love to you.  “We love because He first loved us”  1 John 4:19.

Prayer Before Worship  Gracious God, the gifts of marriage, family, children and loving relationships are all from the goodness of Your hand.  You are the source of that greatest of all gifts, love, which You demonstrated most clearly for us in Your only-begotten Son, Jesus.  Enable us to model and share Your love and care in a world for which You gave Your Son; who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, ever one God, world without end.  Ame
