Prayer Before Worship: O Almighty God, who pours out on all who desire it the spirit of grace and of supplication: Deliver us, when we draw near to You, from coldness of heart and wanderings of mind, that with thoughts focused on You and hearts filled with love for You we may worship You in spirit and in truth; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
In Today’s Worship: Who is Worthy to rule the earth? Who is capable of setting things right? Nobody! Throughout human history we anoint kings and elect presidents, hoping this time we’ll get it right. This time peace and justice will triumph, but they don’t. Today, John says, “Do not weep for there is One who is worthy.” In all the universe there is one man who is able in God’s eyes to hold authority and rule the earth. He is Jesus Christ. Today, we will discover that Jesus is worthy of everything that you can give Him, every ounce of your devotion, and every beat of your heart.
