Almighty God, through Jesus You not only welcome us to Yourself, but You have actively sought us and You rejoice over each person who is brought to trust in Jesus for forgiveness and heaven. Give us Your heart for lost people that will translate into actively seeking by sharing Your love. Amen.

IN TODAY’S WORSHIP

Jesus’ disciples have two great commandments: love God with all their hearts, and love the people in their lives the way they love themselves. Jesus said this is

how His identity and mission would be verified—by the existence of a community of irrationally loving disciples. This standard, of course, is not a completed quality, an accomplished fact in our lives as we live on earth. Instead, we always keep growing to know Christ, and be shaped in the image of His heart. Today we begin “The BEING Challenge” which is a six week time of learning habits to keep us ever growing closer to Jesus, our Savior.
