Truths That Transform: “Rejoice in the Lord Always”
August 13, 2023
PRAYER BEFORE WORSHIP
Come to me, living Lord Jesus. Bring to me a sure and lasting faith in Your power and Your presence. Make my life to be one where others might see the truth of Your grace and love in the way I live in the world. Send your Holy Spirit on me through the Means of Grace, so that I grow up in all things into maturity in faith and witness. Amen.
IN TODAY’S WORSHIP
We continue our summer series of sermon messages today, “Truths that Transform.” Our focus today is on the words that God guided Paul to write in the
Bible, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” Often we search for joy in our achievements, in our possessions, in pleasure, or in people. These things let us down leaving us disappointed or depressed. Joy is found “in the Lord.” Only a relationship with Christ can bring joy, regardless of the circumstances of your life.
