Prayer Before Worship: Through this season of Lent, O Lord, remind us often when we are feeling proud, arrogant, beyond reproach, pleased with ourselves, self-sufficient in our ways, that for such as us and better and worse you walked a road that took you to a cruel cross, and rose again to show us where we might look for rescue. Amen.
In Today’s Worship: The REAL Jesus We have grown so accustomed to the story of Christ’s life that there is a lot we take for granted. We view His life through our 21st Century eyes, and miss what a radical person He was in the ancient world. Today we will discover that Jesus introduced a completely new concept to the world. He insisted that God is more interested with the inside of a person — with a heart of repentance and faith – rather than the outside of a person – a religious show. Jesus is “the Man with No Hypocrisy.”
