Prayer Before Worship

Gracious God, You are the source of all hope.Grant us unshakable confidence in Your great mercy at all times and in all places. Give us in this time of worship a sure sense of Your everlasting love, that we may live our lives with a full sense that You are with us in every season of life. Give us the assurance that finally we will share the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ in His eternal kingdom. Amen.

IN OUR WORSHIP TODAY

Who is this Jesus? Old Testament believers had the Law and the Prophets to point ahead to Christ, but this was only a shadow of what would come. The transfiguration provided an opportunity for the disciples to see this manifest: the fading glory of the old, the Law and the Prophets; replaced with the permanence of the new, Christ Jesus, come to save us. By the work of the Holy Spirit, the veil that obscures Christ’s face is removed, and by faith, we are called to the light.
