Prayer Before Worship

O Almighty God, You pour out on all who desire it Your Spirit of grace; when I draw near to You in worship, keep me from coldness of heart and wanderings in my mind, so that my thoughts and my love for You may worship You in spirit and in truth; through Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.

In Today’s Worship

In our world the rich people, the people with fame and influence are the lucky ones, the blessed ones. Jesus came to announce a new and different kind of kingdom. In Jesus’ kingdom the poor, those who mourn, those who hunger are the blessed ones, the favored ones. Jesus turns our values upside-down. His kingdom is open to all people, and yet His kingdom is restricted to those who humbly admit their need of Him.
