A Prayer to Prepare to Worship: My Father and God, I praise You for the gift of Your Son Jesus. In my world of change and sadness, You sent the ultimate answer to all my needs in giving Your Son, Jesus, whose birth we celebrate tonight.  How can I thank you for love so deep and wonderful?  Work in my heart through the message of worship a new hope, and a deeper love for You.  Amen.

God has given us this amazing night to draw us together to celebrate His incredible love for the world, in the birth of His Son Jesus.  On that first Christmas night, God’s plan to show us His love came into clearer focus in the humble stable of Bethlehem.  God with us” is not some far-off concept!  It is now!  He is ours in Jesus Christ! “’Let us go over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened which the Lord has made known to us.’ (Luke 2:15)”
